Introducing Our Fabulous Staff
My name is Ashley Stone.
Some of you may know me as Ashley Little. I was born and raised in
Ayr right beside North Dumfries Preschool, which I also attended.
I am excited to be back, but now as the Teacher! I can't wait to take
on this new role even though I have big shoes to fill.
I'm looking forward to adding my personal touch to the preschool,
learning from others, meeting new families, and becoming part of
the North Dumfries Preschool Co-op community again!
I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!!

Teacher Supervisor
Ms. Ashley

Assistant Teacher Ms. Kim
My name is Kim Newell, and I'm so excited to be the Assistant Teacher
at North Dumfries Preschool this year! NDPCI has such a great
reputation because it is such a wonderful place to learn and play!
The toddler/preschool age range is such a special and fun one and
I feel so fortunate to be able to spend my time with all these amazing
little friends.
We have so many exciting and fun learning activities planned
for this school year!
SEE YOU SOON!
Support Teacher
Hi everyone! My name is Mallory Swegles, but you can call me Ms Mallory. I am so excited to be a part of the North Dumfries Preschool team as the Support Teacher, and to get to know more families in the community.
My husband and I have been together for sixteen years, and moved to Ayr nine years ago. We have two children and two cats. Our kids are five and one, so they keep us very busy, and we love playing outside, creating art, and reading books.
I have a BA and post-graduate certificate, with extensive experience working in the non-profit sector. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the last six years, and love volunteering with local organizations to support the children in our community, like Girl Guides, Lang’s, and School Council. I am so excited to continue working with local families as part of the Preschool team!”

Temporary Assistant Teacher
Hi everyone! My name is Meghan McMahon, but you can call me Miss Meghan. I’m honoured to be a part of the amazing team at North Dumfries Preschool as the temporary Assistant Teacher. I’m excited to be a part of a community which is so close to my heart as I have centred myself around the Ayr hockey association for many years as a player for the Ayr Rockets and a Centennials fan. Although not having lived in Ayr, I consider it to be a home community.
I was born and raised in Paris and attended school in Brantford. I have played hockey and softball growing up for both the Paris and the Ayr teams. During the summer I love to go fishing and play golf, and during the winter I spend my time snowboarding and skating on the pond. I have two puppies, Roxie and Mookie, who enjoy spending their days out back by the pool.
I am currently studying Honours Recreation and Leisure at the University of Waterloo and have completed my first 2 of 4 years. I am also certified as bilingual in both English and French. I have worked in childcare settings for 8 years as I have spent many years babysitting along with working for the County of Brant at After School programs and Summer Camps.
